Good Bye (and Welcome)
Officially, today is my last day on this New MSD job. As initially agreed with the Big Boss of Syarikat Pembinaan Anggerik Sdn Bhd (the Main Contractor), I would assist the Contract Manager especially on the architectural parts and others such as IT and documentation till the end of their construction period. And today, we packed up our Site Office, cleared most surplus materials from the store, went thru the inventory and all other stuff of wrapping up this job.A team of JKR engineers (in addition to their architect who has been here since last December) has arrived this morning to 'accept' the building (handing over as we called it, in this industry) next week... and consequently handing it to the end user, the Malaysian Students Department & Malaysia Hall. A simple ceremony will be held at the new Hall (no longer can be called 'Grand Hall' as it is now more of a 'small hall') on the day MSD-Msia Hall officially open their door next Thursday 20th to mark this historical beginning. For that matter, a book has been opened at 'the old' M'sia Hall for anybody to pen in their 'condolence' to the lost of Bryanston Square after 50 years of service.
So, I bid farewell to the building that has given me the much needed site experience. Yet at the same time, welcome you all to THE NEW MSD & M'SIA HALL LONDON. Enjoy the new building, and if you find any weaknesses it in... it's probably not my fault, hehhe. As for me, I'm back to the jobless state as I was for a few months before I started this job last October.
