Scary moments

Late last night, my wife and baby came back from the hospital for the second time, alhamdulillah.

It all started at the end of last week when my wife started feeling pain in her tummy and not feeling well generally. Then, on Tuesday, we went to see her GP and was diagnosed as having some kind of infection and was prescribed an antibiotic. Next day Wednesday, as I was preparing to leave for work, she started having heavy terrible bleeding; fresh blood and lots of nasty clots. She nearly fainted. We rushed to the GP, and was straight away asked to go to the hospital. At the hospital, after much wait (typical of British NHS), she was examined and rushed to the operation theatre pronto. Blood were everywhere in the examination room, and I started to feel dizzy myself. She had undergone D&C (Dilatation and Curettage) procedure under general anaesthetic, suspected some remnant of the placenta left in her womb, causing infection and haemorrhage; a possible fatal cause!

Alhamdulillah, the procedure went as planned with no complication.

[a phone call from Tanah Serendah Sekebun Bunga; My mum: "...apa buat kerja macam ni!? boleh saman hospital tu!"]
[text msg from my brother: "camne boleh jadi camtu? tak saman the hospital?]
mmm....
